Whats in a name?

With so many celebrities naming there children rare and unusual names these days it makes me wonder what is in a name?
Naming my son was a difficult process of elimination that went something like this: nope don't like it, to common, a friend just named their child that, don't like the shortened version or they might get teased to much with that name. In the end I think I was only left with one name so the decision was made!

Thinking about names makes me think about all the Cheeki Babi pieces I create.
Lots of people have 'collections' and unfortunately for me I am still not that organised to be at that stage (maybe one day) but I do have to have some sort of a name for each accessory/clothing item. When your constantly creating, names can be difficult to come up with. (I only have one child and that name was hard enough!)
So I guess what I am getting at is- is a name really important when it comes to items? I mean I know that peoples names are important and branding like business names are important but is the name of the item that important?
We have all seen some pretty funny business names I'm sure.....

hahaha don't think I would like to be caught with a name like that, although I'm sure they get quite a few people going in there just for the name.

Think I may need to come up with a trial naming system for my creations any suggestions?

Brrrrrr its cold....

So the weather is starting to cool down and get quite a bit chilly on some nights. Wishing I had a fireplace during winter. I find them so relaxing and I love how it warms entire areas letting you go about your business without layer upon layer of clothing!

Anyway as per usual I am starting to ramble on so I best get into the topic for todays blog.... BEANIES!

I love beanies and think they look soooo CUTE on babies and kids. Im sure you have already seen a few Cheeki Babi beanies that I have posted about on my FB page but I thought I would list a few of my favs.....

This would have to be my FAV at the moment(but thats always changing), Im in love with the whole look!

I think its the colours that I love about this one....

New stuff for newborns

HELLO!
Yes, yes sorry its been a while I know. I have been so caught up with Autism Advisory & Support Service Auction.

So I have had a few requests lately about doing some newborn headbands and I thought it was a great idea! So I am slowly getting out some new designs for the little new arrivals. I am trying to keep the flowers on the headbands a little smaller as it can take over sometimes if its to big but I am more then willing to go bigger if requested.

If you havent noticed I love doing all white headbands and they seem to be quite popular too and I will certainly be continuing this with the newborn headbands. They will be perfect for photoshoots!

Pink-a-licious

So if you haven't already noticed Im a little fond of PINK but only when creating for all the little princesses out there as I am not a pink wearing person myself. 
I think pink is the new everything. 
Pink for the little ones never goes outta style and can be blinged up....

  sweet....

and just about any old way you like it and still look oh so cute! Personally I think the words PINK and CUTE go hand in hand.
As you can see I have quite a range of pink creations and Im sure I will continue to love to create with pink....


Question: Why is it always easier to see what looks best for others but not so easy to see what looks best for you?? 
(Well this is a dilemma that I often face anyway)

Hello and welcome...

So I have finally decided to BLOG! Its been on my mind for a while now and after checking out some of my fav's I decided to give it a go.

Its still a work in progress and probably will be until I get used to it all. 

I'm thinking this blog will be about Cheeki Babi mostly but also about anything else I come across or that is on my mind so please stay tuned and come back soon.
Its 2011 already and I am excited to see what the future holds.
